You’re given two options, “Meet the Family” and “Watch Film”.
The Film is used to illustrate the philosophy behind G-Star’s intuitive and practical purpose, ending with the narrative, “It doesn’t get any more pure than that.”
Straight, concise and brilliant.
The videography and imagery is amazing, full of life and robust colours, showcasing processes and the people involved.
The G-Star Raw Family –
The best and probably most people’s favourite aspect of the whole website is the “Meet the Family” part.
Upon your clicking it, you’re eased into a page displaying their whole team. From the Sous Chef to the Head of 3D Design.
Hovering over a team member, shows you their name and their position within the G-Star Family. The whole experience leaves you feeling like you know something about G-Star that no-one else knows. It’s a personal experience and you get enveloped by it all very easily.
It’s an experience –
G-Star has done an exceptional job at reaching out to their customer base, they managed to make everyone feel like they are in some way involved with it all. From a design and development point of view however, out of ten they get a solid 47.
Imagery, video, involvement, content – it’s all spot on. Best of all, they make you want to either get involved or support them in some way. They are setting a trend, and others are sure to follow.
